Instead, we use a special limestone-based paste, which lifts the dye off, revealing these intricate white and beige patterns.
You’ll notice how the fabric has a deep black base, but after the discharge process, the motifs come alive in shades of white, gold, and soft beige. It’s a meticulous craft, done entirely by hand, giving each piece a raw, organic look. No two fabrics are ever exactly the same—that’s the charm of this technique.
